I JOHN – LESSON 4

I. KNOWING THE LAST HOUR AND THE ANTI-CHRIST (2:18-28)

A. It is the last hour for anti-christs have come (v. 18)

B. Anti-christs went out from Christians proving that they were not of them (v. 19).

C. Avoid being led astray by following the miraculous infallible knowledge that they possessed (v. 20-21, 24, 27-28)

1. Will not be ashamed before the Lord’s coming

D. Identifying characteristics of anti-christ (v. 22-23a)

1. Liar

2. Denies Jesus is the Christ

a. Therefore, denies the Father

E. He that confesses the Son has both the father and the Son along with promise of eternal life (v. 23b; 25).
