JUDGEMENT UPON NATIONS


Time: 587-585  B.C. (Chapters 25-32)

 

I. NEIGHBORING NATIONS MUST FALL   (Chapters 25-32)

A. AMMON – Rejoices over Jerusalem’s downfall (25:1-7)

B. MOAB – Rejoices over Jerusalem’s downfall (25:8-11)  

C. EDOM – Perpetual vengeful hostility toward Israel (25:12-14)

 D. PHILISTIA- Perpetual vengeful hostility toward Israel (25:15-17)

 E. TYRE – Rejoices over Jerusalem’s downfall with unwarranted egotism and iniquity (26:1-28:19)  

 F. SIDON – Like Tyre,  Sidon must fall (28:20-26)

 G. EGYPT – Unwarranted pride; becomes a base nation upon whom other nations, especially Israel, cannot           depend (29:1-32:32)
