LEVITICUS – LESSON EIGHT
(Chapters 16-
Following the death of Nadab and Abihu due to their presumptuous sins, God instructs Moses regarding the priest coming before Jehovah in the holy place within the veil (holy of holies) inside the temple. The law regarding the Day of Atonement is given. This is a yearly remembrance of sin, when the high priest offers sacrifice for himself and the people. He will enter within the veil of the holy place this one time in the year. Other laws are given in this section which emphasizes the Holiness of God regarding His people.
VIII. ANNUAL ATONEMENT AND VARIOUS LAWS (Chapters 16-
A. Occasion for instruction concerning annual atonement – follows death for presumptuous sin of two sons of Aaron (16:1-

(Chapters 19-
Living a holy life before God demands we treat others justly. Obeying the Ten Commandments, the Israelite would be holy before God. In this lesson we will see how the commandments through Moses were applied, and be impressed with how serious God is regarding His revealed Law as we see the death penalty being applied when God’s commandments are disobeyed.
IX. LAWS REGARDING HOLINESS TOWARD GOD AND RIGHTEOUSNESS TOWARD MAN (Chapters 19-
